Charity is the Managing Attorney of the firm’s Philadelphia office and oversees a considerable amount of the firm’s litigation in the Northeast. Her core practice includes premises liability, aviation related litigation, motor vehicle liability, products liability, toxic torts, and insurance fraud investigation. Charity’s background includes leading multi-attorney teams and representing commercial entities, retailers, restaurants, food manufacturers, municipalities and large manufacturing clients in complex, high exposure litigation in several states. She served as National Coordinating Counsel for a large, international manufacturing company for over a decade. Charity has extensive defense litigation experience and has arbitrated hundreds of cases, as well as tried many cases to verdict with favorable results. She has also participated in the investigation and civil prosecution of individuals who submit fraudulent insurance claims, including several medical providers. Prior to joining the firm, she was an equity partner at a large Philadelphia based litigation firm.
Charity is admitted to practice in both the state and federal courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey and is also licensed to practice in the District of Columbia. Charity received her J.D. from Widener University School of Law where she was on the Dean’s Honor List and the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law. She was a member of Phi Delta Phi, the international legal fraternity. Charity clerked for the Honorable Arnold L. New of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. She was also a legal intern in the Civil Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. She also holds a B.S. in Communications from Drexel University.
